The Laguna Lake Development Authority, in support of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ celebration of the National Climate Change Consciousness Week, has chosen the Municipality of Mabitac, a flood-prone area within the Laguna de Bay region, as its climate vulnerable community, and held a half-day lecture on climate and disaster resiliency at the Mabitac Municipal Hall in Mabitac, Laguna.

With the theme “Step Up Local Climate Actions: Strengthen Community Resilience”, this annual celebration aims to create awareness on global warming and climate change by pursuing broad and intensive public information and education campaign to secure the collective cooperation of private and public sectors at all levels to finding solutions to this concern.

This event was achieved through the efforts of the Public Information Unit (PIU), the Community Development Division (CDD), and the Policy Planning and Information Management Division (PPIMD).
