Free ferry rides starting December 09, 2019 until January 31, 2020 await passengers of the Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) relaunched this ferry service, as announced by MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim during its launching ceremony at the Lawton Station in Manila earlier today.

Among those who attended the said event were MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim, MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia, MMDA Spokesperson Celine Pialago, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu, Senator Bong Go, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, and LLDA General Manager Joey Medina.

Reviving the Pasig River Ferry Service (PFRS) is in line with President Duterte’s command so as to address the traffic congestion in Metro Manila. More so, LLDA’s engagement on the said project is assured as this falls within LLDA’s jurisdiction.
