The development and enhancement of Majayjay Falls is the stakeholders’ way of preventing the imminent degradation of one of Laguna’s famous tourist destination. Considered as the most accessible scenic spots in the area, thousands of tourists visit the place especially during summer months. Through the years, the basic sanitary facilities constructed have been dilapidated and unable to support the multitudes of visitors flocking the area. The unsystematic management of the area is very evident and signs of water pollution is already observed. It is in this light that during the conduct of Laguna de Bay Environmental Action Planning in 2003, that consensus was arrived at to consider the improvement of this resource for funding under the LISCOP Project.
